Meet the owner:
Hello! My name is Lauren Woodward, and I'm the designer, owner, and operator of Anytime Art. I'm a local - born and raised here in NMB. I'm a wife and mother of 3 amazing kiddos. I began teaching high school art in 2013, and I currently teach art at North Myrtle Beach High School. My passion for creativity is ever-evolving, and this is my latest project. This space has been a dream of mine for several years, and I hope it serves you well. My vision for the studio is to be a place of comfort. Couches, coffee, and wifi are there to help you relax and get your creative energy flowing. Large tables are set up for sprawling projects such as sewing or collage. Drafting tables are available for drawing and height/angle adjustments. Multiple types of easels are available to best meet your painting needs. A still-life and photography station is available to stage subject matter or to help you create a digital presentation of your work. Lockers are available to allow you the freedom of coming and going without constantly having to transport your materials. The space has been completely renovated - the old ceiling tiles and florescent lights were removed and replaced with fresh decorative tiles, along with a mix of chandeliers and gallery lighting, to make it cozy and professional. Various types of furniture have been brought in, to best facilitate different working styles. My goal is for Anytime Art to host gallery showcases quarterly, so that artists can sell their work and display it to the public. The vision for Anytime Art is to be both a work area, and a display area, which is why so much thought and design went into the layout of the space. At monthly member meetings, members will be able to share what we're working on, receive feedback, and encourage each other in our creative pursuits. Creative classes will be offered to the public in various media/topics, to help foster creativity within the greater community of NMB and Horry County. Figure drawing events will occasionally be held -an extremely helpful artistic practice, which is rarely accessible apart from a college campus. Anytime Art offers an experience you cannot get at home, working alone.
